The outbreak of MERS or Middle East respiratory syndrome in South Korea began on 20 May 2015. After a constantly updated with news of the MERS outbreak in television; more people covered their noses and mouths with masks in the public gathering places, especially in subway stations, train stations, airports. The instant hand sanitizer were provided in front of restaurants, shops, cinemas, markets, reception desks available for public use. Commuters were checked the body heat from a distance by a thermal-imaging scanner when they arrived at train stations and airports. Commuters with high temperatures were asked for careful examination. When someone coughs or sneeze in a Metro passenger car; he/she were watched irritatedly from the nearby passengers, some passengers walked out of that passenger car toward the next passenger car. Thousands of tourists have cancelled their trips to South Korea over MERS fear. As there was no new cases of MERS being recorded since July 4 and the epidemic's effects on the economic; it's vey rare to see people wearing masks in the public on July. South Korea declares end of MERS Outbreak on July 28, 2015.
